Virginia “Ginger” Carol Bumgardner, age 57, died peacefully with family by her side on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born in Mecklenburg County on December 11, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Ray and Carolyn Jackson Bumgardner. Ginger was a Registered Nurse and worked at Eastridge Family Practice until her M. S. disability. Ginger was a member of Maylo United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included softball and an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. In addition to her parents, Ginger is preceded in death by a sister, Terri Darlene Bumgardner.

Ginger is survived by her caregiver of 8 years, Marla Bumgardner and husband Vandon of Gastonia and a host of special cousins. Her beloved uncle Robert Jackson of Mt. Holly and friends that loved her with compassion and devotion.

A Celebration of life will be conducted by Pastor Jay Bissett on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00pm at Maylo United Methodist Church, 1900 Spencer Mt. Rd Gastonia NC 28054. Burial will be at a later date at Gaston Memorial Park.
