Terry Franklin Gentry, 66 years old, of Courtland Terrace in Gastonia, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He is survived by his mother, Lois Norman of Peak Resources in Cherryville, his sister Rebecca and husband Robert Woods of Gastonia, nieces Emily Woods of Gastonia, Amy Woods Vondra and husband Evan Vondra of Belmont, uncles Morris Knowles and wife Sandy Knowles of Mt. Holly, David Knowles of Gastonia, aunts Doris Smith of Stanley, Martha and Jerry Messer of Cleveland, Tennessee , nephew Jason and Lauren Adams of Gastonia and other close family members. He devoted most of his life to his job in transportation and to his family. He was known for his love and passion for sports ( he especially loved the University of North Carolina Tarheels and the Atlanta Braves) along with his particular sense of humor. He will forever be missed by his loving family and friends.
