Obituary for Teresa Lynn Payne

Teresa Lynn Payne "Terri" passed away peacefully in the early afternoon of Friday August 26th 2022. She is survived by her son Brandon Trammell, Granddaughter Alice Trammell, Mother Barbara Tarte and Husband Steven Tarte as well as her sister Kimberly Smith.Terri loved her son and granddaughter more than anything as well as her two dogs Mutley and Yogi. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time helping the humane society and organizations to take care of animals.Terri had such a love for animals that showed with her personality and how she couldn't let a neighborhood animal go hungry. She would regularly take care of her neighbor's cats and dogs when they were physically unable and also the ones that would just wander up because they could sense her good nature. It even got to where the neighborhood cat would walk with her and her dogs around the block which was really something special to see.
Terri also was a huge lover of the beach, no matter where it was. Going Shelling with her sister and mom was always her funnest memories that she would talk about and you could tell by her extensive shell collection. There are many jars and decor in her home that really showcase her love and appreciation for the ocean that if anyone who knew her, knew she was a beach bum at heart. Her favorite place of all was St. Augustine Florida and it was one special to her heart. She made a lot of great memories there over the years with her Son and her friends that made a lasting impact on her. She said one of her favorites was Fourth of July with her Son on the Bridge of Lions watching fireworks and the boats pass by. It was something that helped influence the name of her online business "Lionheart Closet". A combination of her strength from recovering from heart attacks & multiple surgeries to fighting back as strong as a Lion.
Another passion of Terri's was thrifting and shopping all around for unique gems, often with her Mother and sister. She had such a Knack for finding things and a business savvy mind that she built a very successful online store through poshmark which she was very proud of. Lionheart Closet was something she discovered through her shopping and turned out to be a natural for that business and it gave her a lot of joy later in life that she didn't expect. She would spend day and night posting, tagging, taking photos and selling things which was really inspiring to the people around her and it made her really happy.
Throughout her life Terri had traveled a good bit and lived in multiple cities and states which gave her some experiences in life that made her a fun person to be around with some great stories. She had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh and kept a lot of people as life long friends because of the love she would give to the people closest to her. Terri was a great cook as well, trying new recipes over the years and making her staples that were famous such as her Salmon patties that everyone couldn't get enough of when she would make them. It was always a treat when she would cook a meal for you.
Teresa Lynn Payne will be greatly missed by her family and everyone one she knew because she was truly a one of a kind person. We love you Terri
