Obituary for Shirley Ann Parker (Leigh)
Mrs. Shirley Leigh Parker of Gastonia passed away on Friday October 9, 2020 at the age of 85.
Shirley was born in Gastonia on October 6, 1935. She went to school in Gastonia and graduated from Ashley High School. Mrs. Parker worked for Akers Motor lines and later retired from the James T. White Company. She was a long time member of Myrtle United Methodist Church.
Shirley was preceded in death by Gary Parker, her husband of 61 years, her parents Theodore and Willard Leigh, her brothers Bob Leigh, Glenn Leigh and Wilbur Leigh and her sister Rachel Leigh.
She is survived by her son Gary Richard Parker Jr., her daughter Cynthia Parker Henderson, her brother Jerome H. Leigh, her sister Betty L. Cable, 4 grandchildren- Ashleigh, Jessica, Sheree and Lauren, and great-grandson Eli Grayson.

The Memorial Service for Shirley Leigh Parker will be held at A Simple Service Chapel on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 6pm to 7pm. Please wear a mask.
