Sherry Postell Lackey, age 69, passed away at the Robin Johnson House on Friday April 30, 2021. Born in Cherokee County on August 2, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Delmar and Edith Daphene Postell. Sherry worked at Rauch Manufacturing as Quality Control. She enjoyed reading, playing with her dogs, and crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by a brother, Robin Postell and her beloved canine companion, “Roxy”.

Sherry is survived by her husband David Lackey; a daughter, Shelly Shull of Cherryville; two sons, Jody Dills of Arizona and Dusty Dills of Gastonia; a brother, Mike Postell and wife Mary of Florida, a son/grandson, Cody Dills of Raleigh; two friends, Marcella Connelly of Bessemer City and Susan Monico of Gastonia.

Private service will be held at a later date.
