Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Hanline died peacefully with his family at his side on January 9, 2019 at the age of 58. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Tara Hanline; his sons Ronnie and Nathan, and their wives Whitney and Jasmine; proud Grandpa to Hadley and unborn granddaughter Willow; brothers and sisters Mike, David, Prissy, Ruth and their families. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Jerry and Leliah Hanline. A service is scheduled for January 13, 2019 at Ranlo Baptist Church 1517 Spencer Mountain Rd Gastonia, NC. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00pm with the service beginning at 3:00pm. Pastor James Land will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ranlo Baptist Church. Ronnie was head deacon at Ranlo Baptist Church and labored physically and spiritually for many years. He sang in the Choir and taught Youth Sunday School. There was always something to fix at the church, and Ronnie was the one to fix it. He loved gardening, fishing, and was an avid chicken whisperer. He also loved the beach and the Shack restaurant at Cherry Grove. Building and working with his hands gave him satisfaction, and he continued to work even through chemotherapy/radiation. He was most proud of being a grandfather to Hadley and excited about meeting his second granddaughter Willow in March. His wife Tara was the love of his life and will see her again one day.
