Robin Leigh (Richard) Smith, 53, passed away on the 15th of September, 2018, at Catawba Regional Hospice House in Newton, NC, after a fierce battle with lung cancer. Her memorial service will be held this Saturday, the 22nd of September, at South River Baptist Church on Southside Road in Lincolnton, NC, at 11 o’clock in the morning.
Robin was born on the 27th of December, 1964, in Lincolnton, NC, to F. E. Richard Sr. and Diane Richard. Robin was beloved by many friends, colleagues, and family. She was always willing to put others before herself. Above all, she valued her family, and always was beaming with a smile whenever surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents, F.E. and Diane Richard; siblings Frank Richard, Karen Brooks, Rhonda Allen, and F.E. Richard, Jr; and her children, Timothy Davis, Thomas Davis, Erin Cash, and Diana Dyal. She also left behind seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren, to whom she was their beloved “Maw-Maw”: Cheyanne, Cole, Molly, Tyler, Chloe, Stark, Merit, Saphire, and Kahale.
