Obituary for Robert Kenneth Hardy
Robert Kenneth Hardy passed away June 12, 2021 after a prolonged hospitalization.
Bob was born June 14, 1954 to Kenneth Robert Hardy and Harriett Agnes (Metzger) Hardy in Quincy Illinois. He is a 1972 graduate of Quincy High school and attended Quincy College. He was an Army Reservist.
After living several years in upstate New York, Bob moved to Charlotte, NC to join his brother Mike in the 1980s. Bob explored the Country as a truck driver and as a medical procedure coder. He settled in Gaston County where he was a loyal and caring friend to many ; quick to offer help to others
despite his own health challenges.
Bob was fond of cooking, music, cats and science fiction literature. He is predeceased by his parents, his step mother Trannie Hardy and his brother Michael Zane Hardy, Sr. He is survived by his niece Meredith Hardy, nephew Michael Hardy, Jr and sister in law Terry Kienle.
