Robert “Robby” Atchley Green, Jr. age 49, died Friday August 18, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaston County on September 16, 1973, he was the son of the late Robert Atchley Green and the late Evelyn Louise Short. He attended South Point High School and was the owner of Robert’s Drywall and Painting. Robby enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Robby is preceded in death by his son, Robert “Tripp” Atchley Green III, and a daughter, Shannon Green.

Robby is survived by his fiancee, Janice Parris; a daughters, Haleigh Gilbert and husband Jamie of Gastonia, Angela Nanny and fiancee David of Belmont; a son, Jeremy Parris and wife Janessa of Belmont, a sister, Selena Cope and husband Kenneth of Mt Holly, Sandy Green of Gastonia, Shandora Sparks and husband, Tommy of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Meah, Stevie, Dustin, Alayna, and Ava; great granddaughter, Destiny and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Sandy Ford Free Will Baptist Church in Mt. Holly. Family will receive friends before the service from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the sanctuary
