Obituary for Richard Charles "Chaz" Robinson

Richard Charles Robinson, "Chaz", 67 passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Robin Johnson Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. Chaz was born January 20, 1951 in McDowell County, West Virginia. He worked as a master mechanic for Arrowchem in Mount Holly, North Carolina displaying an unmatched knack for solving problems and fixing anything. Chaz set the bar for living life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time and laughing with family and friends, telling the best stories, teaching others, and of course being an avid outdoors-man, he hunted and fished the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia every chance he could. He never met a stranger and with his wonderful personality he was loved by everyone. He would help anyone, and never would accept anything in return. Chaz was a giver and has left his unique influence on so many that will carry his lessons on for generations to come. He is survived by his loving wife - Donna Robinson "Dee", his mother - Nancy L. Robinson, children - Katrina Hamilton, Shannon and Drew Flowers, his sister - Jane Robinson Meggers, niece - Emilee Meggers, nephew - Alex Priestley, best buds - Jason Hartness, Darrel Messer, Joe Harris, Hugh Barbee, and Michael Biggerstaff, father and mother in law - Ralph "pine knot #1" and Pearl Green, brother and sister in law - Ron and Ann Huneycutt, brother in law - Allen Green, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.


A funeral service is scheduled for 5:00 on Sunday November 25, 2018 at Unity Baptist Church in Belmont. Receiving friends will be prior to the service from 3:30 - 5:00. Donations to Robin Johnson Hospice House and Unity Baptist Church in Belmont North Carolina.
