Ralph “Ed” Edwin Crook , age 88, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at his home. Born in Buncombe County on October 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Ralph and Loretta Swiny Crook. Ed was a member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church where he drove the bus for activities. He worked for Fairways Advertising in Duncan SC, putting billboards together in Gaston County. Ed enjoyed being with his family. In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Wooten Crook, and great grandson, Michael Lee Moore.

Ed is survived by a daughter, Sandra Tilson of Crouse; three sons, Eddie Crook of Gastonia, Keith Crook and wife Kelly Laurel Springs, and Stephen Crook of Gastonia; Six Grandchildren, Rodney Tomberlin special friend, Cheryl Hilderbran, Susan Donohue and husband Tim, Kala Crook and husband Daniel, Kara Crook husband Rodney, Amanda Soso and husband Christian, and Jonathan Crook and wife Mel; Twelve Great Grandchildren, Brendan, Kevin, Jamie, Tyler (Karly), Caiden, Jonah, Penelope, Ezra, Clara, Silas, Alice and Mabel; and one great great grandson, Liam Tomberlin; and special friends, David Morgan Terry Ledford, and Chase Dellinger.
