Obituary for Rachel Gail Raxter
Rachel “Tink”Gail Raxter, age 60, died Monday, December 26, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Born in Gaston County on August 16, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Freddie William Raxter and Dora Mae Goble Cook. She was a 1980 graduate of Hunter Huss High School. Tink loved her family and was extremely dedicated to her mother and being a caregiver to her. In addition to her parents, Tink is preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Cook and a cousin, Linda Parrott.
Tink is survived by a brother, Gary Cook and wife Tracy of Wilmington; a sister, Malina Grimsley of Catawba; Step father, Gary Cook of Newton; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Josh, Isabel, Stacey,Chris, Evelyn, and Lily; special cousins, Randy Goble (John), Terry Goble (Ken) and Phillip Goble (Wanda), and the love of her life, “Jefferson” her cat.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A Simple Service Burial and Cremation. The family will receive friends following the service.
