Paul Leonard Deets, 78, of Cramerton, NC passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at his home. He was born August 20, 1942 in Wellington, KS, son of the late Leonard and Katherine Deets. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Deets.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Nancy Halverstadt Deets; daughter, Kirstin Zeccola and husband, Joe; son, Derek Deets and wife, Argenis; sister Anne Thompson and husband, Gary; sister Jeannine Shook and husband Jeff; Papa to 7 grandchildren Erika, Christian, Kaley, Megan, Valentina, Dominique, and Jenna.
Paul worked most of his career in Florida in the chemical industry. After retiring, he moved to North Carolina to be closer to family and enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains. Paul loved to play golf and tennis. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family, and friends. Paul's family were part of the opening of First Covenant Church and worshipped there for over 30 years.

" Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die."
No memorial plans are scheduled for the public. The family will follow Paul's wishes and have an intimate service with immediate family members to celebrate his life.
