Pat had a passionate love for God and was heavily involved in several children's ministries in North Carolina including: Save Our Kids, Awanas, Royal Ambassadors, Sunday School Teacher, children’s puppet ministry, and nursery worker. She was always eager to serve the Lord wherever she saw a need. Her children and grandchildren carry on this love of serving God and also serve in children’s ministries. Her loyal pooch and trusty companion, Gracie, was always by her side or in her loving arms. She will be best remembered for her contagious laughter and courage to keep pressing onward when times got tough. She would say, “it's time to dig your heels in and never give up”.
She strongly believed in higher education. She attended Cape Fear Technical Institute for several years, obtaining multiple certifications. Among the many hats she wore she was a CNA, Dental Assistant, and was the Activities Director at Novant Health Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital. She had a gift of trying to let the seemingly unreachable people know that someone cared about them. She worked tirelessly serving the Lord and attending to her family. Her family, especially her grandchildren, meant the world to her.
