Patrice “Patty” Marcella Brymer Mantooth, age 67 went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2021 after a long, brave battle with cancer. Born in Cramerton on January 25, 1954 she was the daughter of Marie Allen Brymer. Patty grew up at First Baptist Church in Cramerton and was baptized at 9 years old. She was a 1972 graduate of South Point High School and worked for Gaston Memorial for 25 years. Patty met the love of her life on a blind date when she was 16 years old. They both said it was love at first sight and have been together ever since. They were married on August 29, 1980, and were together for 50 years. Her pride and joy were her two boys, Jerry and Matt, and her five grandchildren. She would always insist that they wouldn’t leave her house empty handed. She was generous to a fault and always claimed to have the “Magic Shoulder” that would put any child to sleep. In addition to her mother, Patty is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Lillian Allen.

Patty leaves behind her husband Jerry Mantooth; two sons, Jerry Mantooth (Casey) Gastonia, and Matt Mantooth (Casie) Gastonia; five grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Holden, Bridget and Hannah Mantooth.
