Obituary for Nikki Lynn Boone (Winslow)

Loving wife and mother, Nikki Lynn Boone, passed away on January 9, 2022, after an almost three-year battle
against brain cancer. Nikki was 67 and surrounded by many loving family members when she passed.
Nikki was born to Howard & Patricia Winslow on October 1, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas. After moving to Pompano Beach, Florida, Nikki attended Deerfield Beach High School. While in school, Nikki participated in cheerleading and competitive roller dancing. A member of the church from the early age of 11, Nikki enjoyed sharing her vocal gifts at the Pompano Christian Church alongside her family members. Nikki went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in elementary education and music from Johnson Bible College, now Johnson University, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Nikki met her husband, Jeffrey Boone in July of 1982 and they married January 12, 1985. The family moved from south Florida to Cramerton, North Carolina in 1989.
Nikki’s early career included opening her graphic design brand, Papermill Publishing, and working alongside her husband as he built his civil engineering firm, Greenbrier Design Group. Nikki returned to the family business, as a second-generation Realtor, and was licensed in North and South Carolina from 1999 to 2019. As an active member of the Gaston Association of Realtors, Nikki was elected President in 2010. In 2011 she was voted Realtor of the year. As a DR Horton agent, she proudly served 220 families in their new home purchase during the final years of her Real Estate career.
Nikki was a loyal servant of God, first and foremost. She loved the church and sharing the love and warmth of
our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. Nikki’s spiritual gift of music was a blessing to many as she led worship for more than a decade at Westview Christian Church. Finally calling Lifepointe Christian Church home, she enjoyed serving on the Greeting, Next Steps and Prayer team.
In addition to her loving husband of nearly 37 years she is survived by her two daughters; Lanae Redmond
(Daryl) and Natalie Henderson (Hayden); three grandchildren; Landon Peterson (15 years of age), Caydence
Redmond (8 years of age) and Wyatt Redmond (8 months of age); brother Kevin Winslow (Tana) and two loving nieces.
A memorial service and receiving of friends will be held on January 29, 2022, at 12pm in Nikki's honor at Lifepointe Christian Church 390 York Southern Rd. Fort Mill, SC 29715.
