Nick AKA Sucka left this earth Sunday December 29, 2019. Nick passed away at his home in Lowell after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Nick was born November 18, 1970 in Gastonia to Arnold and Vickie Horton of Lowell.
Nick was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend. He fought his battle with cancer the same way he played poker; never giving up or showing his cards until the end. He loved music and spending as much time as possible with his family and friends. He often said, “make memories today” and that is how he lived his life. Always to the fullest. Just has he lived his life on his terms he left this world the same way. Never giving up and family by his side.
Uncle Sucka was the light and world to his nieces and nephew but leaves them with the fire of loving life that will live forever. His love of music and stage diving will now be carried out by his grandsons. His family and friends that are like family have the pleasure of carrying out his passion for life and living every day to its fullest.
Nick lived by his words “without family you have nothing” and leaves behind so many that love and cherish him. Left to celebrate his life are his loving parents Arnold and Vickie Horton; Sister Edie Dover and husband Eric; daughter Shayla McCutcheon, husband Michael; Nieces Cori Wright and husband Devin; Payden Dover; Alexandra Dover. Grandsons Jude and Asher McCutcheon. Girlfriend Kelly Childers, And a pack of little suckas: Danica, Cambri, Berkley and Jackson.
The family will receive family and friends through out the next days at the home of Nick and his parents at 8 Stowe St. Lowell, NC.
A memorial gathering to celebrate this Sucka’s life will be held at the home of his sister Saturday January 4, 2020 at 126 1st St. , Mt. Holly, NC 28120. We will begin this celebration at 2pm
