Obituary for Nellie Elizabeth Kinley (Biddy)
Gastonia- Nellie Biddy Kinley, 93, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. She was born in Ranlo, NC on January 1, 1929 to the late Claude Layton and Georgia McMurry Biddy. In addition to her parents, Nell was preceded in death by her Husband Walter Kinley, brothers Cecil, Ray, Billy and Jack Biddy, and sisters Elsie Hones and Ruth Johnson and her sons Mike and Marc Kinley.
Nell was a member of Maylo United Methodist Church and retired from Real Estate. She worked for Public Service, she was the Tax Collector for Gastonia and was also served on City Council in the late 1980s. Nell loved her family and enjoyed traveling, her garden and working in her beautiful yard.
Survivors include her son John, daughters in law Charlotte Kinley and Kathy Kinley, and grandchildren Alex, Will, Catherine and Sarah Kinley. Also surviving are her sisters Betty Morgan, Pat Morton and her brothers Harold and Larry Biddy and many Nieces and Nephews.
Nellie remains will be laid to rest by her husband Walter Kinley at Gaston Memorial Park at a later date.
