Obituary for Myra Lynne Payne (Shute)
Myra Lynne Shute Payne, 67, of Lancaster, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was born August 18, 1951, in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late H.B. and Fayrene Shute.
Mrs. Payne loved nature, flowers, and quilting. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She was an avid reader of the Bible. She worked at Springs Industries and later as a nurse at Springs Memorial Hospital for twenty years, until she retired.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Payne and Melissa Payne; brothers, Henry Shute (Carol), Blakie Shute (Diane), Richard Shute, Marion Shute (Eva), Billy Shute, and Mark Shute (Christy); sisters, Deborah Crenshaw (Johnny), Paulette Parker (Johnny), Sherry Montanino (Robert), Sara Crowe (Ian), Elaine Horton (Frankie), and Vicky Carnes; grandchildren, Julio Alexander Valdivia, Lorenzo Eric Valdivia, and Kevin Jaziel Sanchez; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dale Payne and son, Brian Allen Payne.
A memorial service for Mrs. Payne will be held at a later date.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
