Obituary for Mary Susan Almond
Mary Susan Almond passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
She was born December 29, 1959 in Gaston County to the late Jesse Almond and Nora Shipmon Almond.
Ms. Almond is preceded in death by her brothers Stanley Almond and Jerry Almond, her sister Brenda Almond and nephews Jason Almond and Ted Almond.
She is survived by her sister Laney Griffin, brother Herman Almond, her daughters Heather Peche and Brandy Stevenson, grandchildren Avery Peche, Syncere Cathcart and Cassidy Stevenson, and a number of cousins and other family.
Susan loved animals and especially her cat Diamond. She loved to crochet and her favorite song was Eye of the Storm by Ryan Stevenson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 24 at West Fifth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church, located at 2145 West Fifth Avenue, Gastonia, NC.
