Martha Sue Woods Parrish, age 79, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 14, 2021. Born in Gaston County on October 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Coyte and Verly May Abernathy Woods. Sue was a CNA for Covenant Village for 26 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sue enjoyed being with family and watching Christmas movies. In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Smith, Margaret Driggers, Peggy McCarthy, and Patsy Best.

Sue is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank Parrish; a daughter, Renee Bandy and husband Karl of Dallas; a son, Frank Parrish Jr. and wife Lyndi of Bessemer City; three grandchildren, Krystal Linton, Joshua Bandy and wife Harlie, Christian Parrish; two great grandchildren, Trystan and Caydence.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Walt Windley officiating.
