Kenneth “Ken” Mason, age 69 died Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home. Born in Rutherford County on May 26, 1952, he was the son James Oscar Mason of Lincolnton and the late Ellen Isabelle Ballew Mason. Ken was the owner of Mason Express Trucking and was a member of Praise and Worship Tabernacle. Ken enjoyed fishing and going to the beach. In addition to his mother, Ken is preceded in death by his loving wife, JoAnn Bone Mason; a daughter, a brother, Eddie Mason, and a sister, Glenda Mason.
In addition to his father, Ken is survived by 3 daughters, Kim Russell and husband Fred of Stanley, Ellen Sanchez of Lincolnton, and Melissa Mason of Florida; Jonathan Peak, whom he loved as a son; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be announced in a couple of weeks.
