Kathryn “Kathy” Mathews, age 74 died on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born in Lansing Michigan on June 25, 2023, she was the daughter of the late Rex and Dorothy Eve Drain Miller. She spent her life on the move until she settled in North Carolina with her husband Doug Dillingham and son Michael Thayer. Most of her time was spent doing what she loved, antiques, her pets and puzzles with Michael. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Diane Hildabridle.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Dillingham; two daughters, Melissa Edwards Trisha Deal; three sons, Timothy, Michael and James Thayer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Michael was her go to and her strength, he kept her on her best behavior, with following doctor’s orders and taking medicine. As well as Doug, being a loving and devoted husband, catering to her bedside. She will be missed by many who knew her, and those who loved her. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter and wife.
