Julia (Judy) Loftin Kopp, 74, of Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Born November 7, 1945, in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of William and Evelyn Loftin.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband Norman L. Kopp, sisters Lucretia Crews, Louise Dyal, brother William Loftin and grandson William Geiger.

She is survived by her mother Ms. Evelyn Sauls Loftin of Jacksonville,FL, sisters Joanne (Billyjo) Glover, Brenda Loper, Linda Roberts and Hariette Koval ;
her 5 children, Julia Cook ( Ken ) of Gastonia, NC, Debbie Geiger (Billy) of Florida, Terry Arthur of Florida, Sandy Arthur of Florida and Christina Burnett (Tony) of Florida.
She leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Joseph Smith (Alecia), Stephanie Holloman (Matthew), Nichole Miller (Scott), Ariana Cook, Alayna Cook, Amber Lang (Gavin), Daionna Burnett, Dailysia Clemons and Xavion Salley, Aurelia Arthur, Dillon Arthur;
Great grandchildren Mckayla Smith and Owen Smith, Hope Holloman, Sophia, Andrew and

Her grandchildren brought smiles, happiness and joy to Judy’s life. Her great grandchildren gave her a love like no other and all of them were dearly loved and spoiled.

She enjoyed many things like museums, gospel music, going to the beach,especially finding sharks teeth, shopping, crocheting, wood burning, working at Computer Power, traveling, loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoying her family and connecting with others. She loved moving to Wyoming and marrying Norm and welcoming his adult children as her new family; Monica, Joellen, Mike and Norm Jr.

One of Judy’s favorite bible verses was Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight .

Our mother touched so many hearts during her lifetime and she will always be loved and never forgotten. We love you mom and you will be tremendously missed by us and so many.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Lincoln County for the love and compassion they showed mom during her very brief battle with cancer.

We also would like to express our concern for everyone’s health during Covid-19 and so a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
