James Foster Freeze, Jr, age 77, died on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Levine Dickson Hospice Southminster. Born in Cabarrus County on November 22, 1945, he was the son of the late James Foster and Linnie Evelyn Thomas Freeze. Jim was a member of The Alternative Board, he supported the Charlotte Rescue Mission, and The Boys and Girls Club of Charlotte. Jim enjoyed writing short stories, golf and watching basketball and football. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lewis Freeze.

Jim is survived by two sons, Brian Freeze and wife Terri of Clover and Jeffrey Freeze and spouse, Aaron Keppel of Clintondale, New York; a sister, Phyllis Lynn of High Point; two grandchildren, Jonathan Freeze and Peyton Freeze; great grandson, Jamie Freeze; and niece and nephew, Mark Moser and Donna Moser.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of A Simple Service Burial and Cremation.
