Obituary for Herbert McDuffie Langston Jr.
Herbert (Herb) McDuffie Langston Jr. passed away at his residence on September 21, 2019 at the age of 68. Herb is preceded in death by his parents Herbert McDuffie Langston Sr. and Mary Lou Langston. Herb is lovingly remembered by his daughter Brittanie and husband Casey McElwaine of Cramerton, his sister Gail Langston of Boiling Springs and his two beloved grandchildren Currie and Roman and many cousins.
Herb was born in Mineral Wells, Texas in 1951. He graduated from Crest High School in 1971 and went on to study at a technical school in Alabama. He worked with James D. Doster, Inc.
Herb enjoyed his parking lot prayer ministry at Second Baptist Church every Tuesday. He enjoyed working with his hands, drawing, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, weekend getaways to the Cove, fast cars and good food and most of all, spending time with his loving family and two precious grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at Second Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, NC on September 25, 5-7 pm.
The celebration of life will be held at Second Baptist Church in Mt. Holly on September 26, 4 pm.
