Obituary for Glenda Bell Kay (Hickman)
Glenda Belle Hickman Kay, age 84 died Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Atrium Cleveland. Born in Davie County, on December 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James F. Hickman and Rebecca Helen Binkley. Glenda was a long time member of the Shelby church of Christ. Glenda was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Glenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her church family, she also enjoyed visiting with the ladies from church, AND CHOCOLATE.
In addition to her parents, Glenda is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Richard Kay, a son, Gerald Kay.
Glenda is survived by those whom she loved; a daughter, Vicki Barnett and husband Johnny of Hobb, New Mexico; two sons, Dale Kay and wife Beverly of Valdosta, Ga. and Mark Kay and wife Renee of Lawndale; 13 grandchildren 26 great grandchildren, ,
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Cleveland Memorial Park with Pastor Terry Graves officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
