Obituary for Gertrude Pauline Huchko (Flatten)
Gertrude (Trudy) Pauline Flatten Huchko, age 79, died on Friday, October 20, 2023 at her home. Born in Brooklyn New York on February 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Minnie Frasier Flatten. Trudy enjoyed her family, sitting on her patio watching the hummingbirds, feeding the birds and deer. She also loved watching the game show channel. In addition to her parents, Trudy is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Huchko.
Trudy is survived by her three children, Debbie (John) Rongo of Monroe, NC; Tony (Jamie) Huchko of St Johns, FL, and Brenda (Chuck) Biddle of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Vanessa (Josh) Dye, John Rongo Jr, Stephen (Catherine) Rongo, Kai Huchko, Amanda (Grayson) Smith, and Charlie (Gabrielle) Biddle; great grandchildren, Madison Dye, Abigail Dye, Joshua Dye and Samuel Smith.
The family will hold a private service with burial being held at Willow Glen Cemetery in Dryden, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
