Obituary for Tommy Seagle

Tommy Seagle

George Thomas Seagle (Tommy) 68 of Lowell NC passed away on 4/2/19 at his home.
Tommy is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, T.F. Seagle and Nell Seagle of Lowell, NC, his identical twin, Johnny Seagle and sister-in law Diane Seagle.

Surviving Tommy are his two sisters Vickie and husband Howard “Poke” Dellinger and Lou Ann Shuford of Gastonia. He is also survived by his former wife and still good friend Judy Seagle and stepson Freddie Queen. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Not last but not least, his beloved canine companion, Cleo.

Tommy graduated from Holbrook High School and attended Gaston College. He was also a Veteran with the US. Air Force stationed at Pope Air Force Base in Pope Field, NC

Tommy was employed in the home repair and maintenance field for the majority of his employment history. He worked for ten years at Pharr Yarns and retired from the NC State Division of Highway Maintenance a number of years ago.

Tommy’s favorite hobby was fishing and he spent many hours with his twin brother, Johnny, fishing in the rivers and lakes of Gaston County.

Tommy was also into all sports from Little League to Post College. He excelled in baseball. He and his twin were labeled “Double Trouble” in newspaper clippings. Tommy and his brother Johnny were inducted into the Belmont Little League Hall of Fame several years back.

Tommy missed his twin Johnny. They are reunited now. He will be remembered with love and be missed by his remaining family and friends.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in celebration of Tommy’s life at A Simple Service, 451 Hospital Drive in Gastonia NC.
