Obituary for Gary Dean Clark
Gary Dean Clark, 65, of Grover, NC, passed away, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Atrium Health in Shelby, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5 at A Simple Service, 451 Hospital Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054. A private burial will follow the service.
Dean was born September 14, 1953 in Shelby, NC to William and Dorcas (Head) Clark. He graduated from Kings Mountain High School in 1972. He was married to Shirley Grigg for over 20 years. Dean was employed as a welder, fabricator, and assembler for most of his career. He spent most of his weekends working, fishing, boating on the lake and hunting. He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball and golfing.
Dean is survived by his two sons Dean Clark II, David Clark and daughter, Deana Steele; five grandchildren, Levi, Reid, Brittian, Austyn, and John; his sister, Pat Wright and Cynthia Anderson, and brother, Steve Clark, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorcas, brother, Jerry, brother, Vance and sister, Judy.
