Obituary for Franklin Dee Boothe

Franklin D. “Frank” Boothe, 73, of Gastonia died after a short illness on
September 23,2018. Frank was born September 17, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to the
late Harry and Elaine Boothe Jordan. He attended Spencer High School, Spencer,
WV and earned a BS from Gardner-Webb University. Frank was a proud Marine
who served two tours during the Vietnam War. Frank ended his work history at TE
Connectivity in Rock Hill, SC. Frank was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church
in Gastonia.
Frank is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Kilpatrick Boothe and Molly,
ever faithful dog. Also surviving Frank are his brothers and sister: Philip Boothe,
Lakeland, Florida; Fred Boothe, Charleston, WV; Richard Jordan, Two Rivers,
Wisconsin; Jonathan Jordan, Yorkville, Illinois, and Francie Justice, Parkersburg,
WV. In addition, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends, will miss his smile and
his southern boil. Semper Fi, Frank!
The service of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 1, 2018, at 10:00am
at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gastonia with internment following later in
Akron, Ohio.
