Frank Rickey “Rick” Anthony, age 74, passed away at his home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Born in Gaston County on September 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Belton Beck and Myrtle Estelle Melton Anthony. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Rick was a firefighter for 23 years for the City of Gastonia, and worked for Sports and Promotional in Mooresville. Rick enjoyed Nascar and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by wife, Brenda Gail Hannah Anthony; a sister, Becky Britton; a nephew, Eddie Joe Huffstetler.

Rick is survived by a son, Rickey Anthony wife Linda Morgan of Gastonia; a daughter, Angela Anthony King and husband Scott of Gastonia; two sisters, Mozelle Huffstetler and husband Eddie Joe of Gastonia, and Debbie Stanley and husband David of Alexis; five grandchildren, Amber, Austin, and Alita Anthony and Ashton and Landon King and two great grandchildren, Avery and Willow King.

Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Epic at Linwood. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the church.
