Edward “Ted” Foster
Ted Foster, age 91, of Morningside Assisted living died Dec. 4, 2017, having lived a full life.
The son of Thomas and Elsie Foster, he was born in Kenvir, Kentucky.
A WWII veteran, Ted served in Germany 1945 -1947 in Patton’s Army. He was happily married to Mina H. Foster for 57 years.
Ted has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a faithful husband and devoted father. A member of Parkwood Baptist Church, Ted had a servant’s heart and quietly looked for ways to help his fellow man. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and great sense of humor.
Ted retired from JP Stevens and Citizens South Bank having worked for the bank until he was 85.
Surviving are his children John (Linda) Foster, Jan Foster, Stan (Susan) Foster and Tim (Jacinda) Foster. Lorri Foster; Grandchildren- Jason (Michelle) Foster, Brian (Lindsay) Foster, Wendy (Brandon) Whitt, Ryan (Hannah) Foster, Lauren (Cameron) Matthews, Jenna (Wade) Brown, Jake Foster, Jacqueline (Aaron) Staggs, Autumn Foster; Great-grandchildren Kinstyn Foster, Brinkley and Quinn Whitt, Fiona Foster, Lincoln and Rhett Foster, Austen Elizabeth Matthews, Grant Brown. Brother, Jim Foster.
He was preceded in death by Mina and his eldest son Edward “Teddy” Jr.
Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:15 a.m. at Parkwood Baptist church. Pastor Ryan Foster and Pastor David Belle Isle will be officiating.
Ted will be laid to rest in Somerset, Kentucky.

The family would like to express its appreciation for the wonderful love and care given to Dad by the staff of Morningside Assisted Living and Gaston Hospice.
