Doris Caldwell Crisp, of Gastonia, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 15, 2022 at the age of 90. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Wayne F. Crisp.
Doris was born in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late Clyde R. Caldwell and Estelle E. Caldwell. She was a graduate of Ashley High School and Evans Business College. She enjoyed talking and laughing, going on beach trips and loved cooking for her family and friends and anyone that needed a meal.
Doris and her husband were owners of Crisp Printers, Inc. until retirement. She was a life long member of Flint Groves Baptist Church where she sang in the Adult Choir and later in the Senior Choir. She also helped out with Wednesday night meals for many years. For Doris, her "Grandchildren" were the love of her life.
Along with her husband Wayne F. Crisp, Doris is survived by her daughter Melody Crisp Teague and husband Monty, her grandchildren Shana B. Etherton (Chris), Curt R. Teague (Kerri), great-grandchildren Ryland C. Etherton,
Hunter F. Etherton, Zach Etherton (Taylor), Hank R. Teague, Maple Teague, King Orvosh,
great-great-grandson Lander Etherton, a sister Kathy C. Ballard (Larry) and nephew Jonathan C. Ballard (Chrissy).
A funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on June 21, 2022 at the Flint Groves Baptist Church Sanctuary.
