Dora was born May 17th, 1939 in Gastonia to Shufford Goble and Dessie Biddix Goble.
Dora passed away August 22, 2020.
In addition to her parents, Dora is preceded in death by her grandson Timothy Gary Cook, brothers- Robert, Clifford, Johnny and Ronnie Goble, and 2 sister-in-laws- Mossie and Betty Goble.
She is survived by her daughter (and care-giver) Rachel Raxter, son Gary Cook Jr (Tracy) and daughter Malina Grimsley (David), special grandsons- Christopher Cook, Josh Phillips, special granddaughters- Stacey and Isabell Phillips, special great-grandchildren- Christopher Cook Jr, Ashlynn Cook, Lily and Evelyn Phillips, granddaughters- Kristina and Devan Cook, special nephews- Randy, John, Phil, Drew, Allen, Terry, Ken, Carlos, Joey, Jeff, and Jared, special nieces- Linda, Wanda, Stacy, Cindy, Christian, Carrie, Angie, Kayla, and Logan, three special friends- Johnny and Brenda Grindle and Rosa Lee Thau, two special sister-in-laws- Kay Goble and Margaret Raxter.
There will be a Visitation Thursday, August 27th starting 2:00pm at : A Simple Service funeral Home- located at 451 Hospital Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054
