Obituary for Donald Ray Pittman
Donald Ray Pittman, age 75, went home to be with his Lord on January 5, 2022. Don loved his family and working in his garage with his son, grandson, nephews and friends building race cars and racing them. Don was a devoted husband, father, pawpaw and grandpaw.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gurley and Lucille Pittman; daughter Debbie Payne; brother, Robert Pittman; and sister Mickie Cochran.
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeanette; son, Donald (Junior) Pittman and wife Amy of Lincolnton; daughter, Donna Brucia and Ricky Martin II of Charleston SC; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer McCusker, Marie Ketcham, Justin Pittman, Tiffany Barker, Robert Smith and Dalton Smith; nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Geraldine Williams, Joyce Bush, Dorothy Abernathy, Faye Haynes, and Wanda McCauley; a brother, Ricky Pittman; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private service at a later date. The family will be meeting at the home of Briar Path Court in Mt, Holly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
A Simple Service Burial and Cremation is serving the family.
