Delsie Clayton, age 81, passed away on June 8, 2021. Born in Branchland, West Virginia on August 12th, 1939, she was the daughter of Merlin and Tennessee Hazelett. She moved from California to North Carolina in 2018. She loved to hike and play softball when she was in California and also after she moved to North Carolina. She was a highly decorated athlete in the Senior Games for many years where she participated mainly in softball but excelled in many sports. She was an Oakland A's fan.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, her sister Maxine Pritchard, her sister and brother-in-law Loraine and David Roman, her brother Dallas Hazelett and several nieces and nephews.
Delsie is survived by her sister Martha Messinger, son Edward Isaacs, her son and daughter-in-law Randy and Karen Isaacs, her granddaughter Stephanie Brown and husband Robert Brown, her granddaughters Melissa Grant, Alyson Isaacs and Haley Isaacs, her great-granddaughters Kaylee Grant and Leilani Brown, great-grandsons Hunter Brown and Kainoa Brown and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
