A Private Service for the passing of
David Larry Thomas of Crowders Mountain
on June 26,2020 @5:45 am
Born 12/29/1941 to the late Charles Lee and Bessie Dameron Thomas.
Larry graduated from Ashley High School at 17 and joined the military to serve
in the Army 3 years. He then returned home to serve 38 years in his community in textiles at Threads USA, where he retired and retained many friends. He was the wisest and kindest man we knew. So dedicated to his family.
He is survived by his wife Debra Thomas. His daughter and her husband Kimberly and Jonathan Kirkpatrick of Lake Wylie SC and 6 children Kelsey, Carolyne, Rylan, Weston Cole, Landon and Tayler. His oldest son David and his son Scott. His son Mark with his kids Chris, Peyton, Alex and Nate. And his youngest son Patrick David. As well as Scottie Brewer and Tim Arthurs. He also has two surviving sisters Frances T. Huffstetler of Gastonia and Louis T. Crawford of Clover SC and a dear sister in law Hazel Thomas of Gastonia. His sister-in-law Lois Hall, who lives in the home also. And our beloved friend Sandra K. Hatcher of Canton, NC. And his good friend Bill Thomas.
He was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Biggerstaff and 2 brothers Charles Thomas of Gastonia and Paul Thomas of High Point.
He is survived by so many wonderful family members that he loved with all his heart. He loved as he was loved by so many and he will be truly missed!
