Obituary for Cynthia Kennington
Cynthia P. Kennington, 66, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019. She was born June 6, 1953, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Clayton Pate and Thelma Garris Pate.
Ms. Kennington was formerly employed by Morningside of Lancaster. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and gardening and loved flowers.
Ms. Kennington is survived by a son, Richard Hough; a daughter, Wendy Carthern and her husband, Stacey; grandchildren, Jacob and Alexis Carthern; and siblings, Linda Gandy, Pat Nobles, and Walter Pate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Kennington; and a sister, Ginger Jackson.
A graveside memorial service for Ms. Kennington will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 5003 Taxahaw Rd., Lancaster, SC, officiated by Rev. Catlin Rollings.
A Simple Service Burial and Cremation is serving the Kennington family.
