Cindy Sotoria Fowler Ellenburg passed away on Wednesday, September
7, 2022 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer. She
was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by
living their lives to the fullest.
Cindy was born on January 14, 1968 to Dorothy Dimsdale in
Spartanburg, S.C. After Cindy graduated from Boiling Springs High
School she started her first job at Alltel/Windstream, kickstarting a
27-year career. During her career, she won multiple awards as a top
sales performer.
In 2019, Cindy retired and spent her time traveling and spending time
with her family and friends, as well as her sweet dog Taz. Anyone who
knew her was touched by her kindness, humor, and mild temperament.
She was truly a peacemaker and was always a source of positivity. Her
pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Cindy was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Dimsdale Morris and
grandparents, William and Beatrice Dedman.
She is survived by her husband Richard Ellenburg, and son Michael
Ellenburg of the home: stepdaughter: Brittany Rolfe (Joel), and
granddaughter Sophia Rolfe: brother: David Dimsdale (Laura), sisters:
Denise Sluder (Curtis), Glenna Chennery (Bruce), Beth Fowler, and
Tammy Randall (Roger) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held at Liberty Baptist Church,
Ellenboro, N.C. on Saturday, September 17, 2002 at 2:00 with the Rev.
Mike Conner officiating.
