Obituary for Charles Joseph Minerva
Charles “Pat” Minerva, age 74, of Gastonia, NC died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
Pat was born in Camden, NJ, May 29, 1947, the son of the late Michael L. Minerva and Margaret O’Donnell.
Pat worked many jobs over the years including textiles, loved volunteering at the local fire department and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed helping others, loved to tell a story or two, and could always be found having a coffee at the local gas station.
Pat is survived by four children, Denise (Shane) Hamilton of Smithfield VA, Dannelle (Richard) Hester of Taylorsville NC, Patricia Minerva, and Shawn Minerva and two grandchildren, Tyler Hester, Liam Minerva, and the late Ethan Hester.
A small gathering will take place at the Union Road Volunteer Fire Department Sunday, 19th 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm.
