Obituary for Charles Leonard "Charlie" Mauney
Gastonia NC- Mr. Charles (Charlie) Leonard Mauney age 89, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Accordius Health in Gastonia, NC.
Charlie was born November 30, 1928 to the late Phillip Roosevelt and Gladys Jane Billings Mauney. He was also preceded in death by step-mother, Louise Robinson Mauney, wife Helen Hartgrove Mauney and brother Samuel Wade Mauney.
A native of Gaston County, Mr. Mauney was a self employed concessionaire.
He is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Ann Mauney, Robin Mauney Farrar and husband Joe, and Susan Carol Mauney; one grandson, Charles Matthew- Dean Farrar and wife Michelle, two great-granddaughters, Madison Abigail and Moriah Danielle Farrar, special cousin, Frances Quinn, and special dog friend Zoey.
The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the medical team at Caromont Health and Accordius Health for their loving support and care.
The family will receive friends from 3:30pm until 4:30pm Thursday August 30, 2018 at A Simple Service Burial and Cremation at 451 Hospital Drive, Gastonia, NC.
