Candida Vazquez, age 72 passed away on January 30, 2021 at Atrium Pineville. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on February 2, 1948, she was the daughter of Maria Diaz of Puerto Rico and the late Luis Vazquez . Candida was a member of St. Michaels Catholic church. She loved being with her family and traveling.

Candida is survived by four daughters, Maria Romero and husband Renzo of Lake Wylie SC, Maritza Romero and Ulises, Karina Romero, Angelica Romero all of Texas; four sisters; Luisa, Rossy, Benny, Millie; two brothers, Jose Luis, Adalberto; seven grandchildren, Nicolas, Franccesca, Paola, Giancarlo, Valeria, Emmanuel and Sophia; and former husband, Carlos Romero.
Catholic Mass will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Burial will be in Puerto Rico.
