Beverly Jean Simmons Stroupe, age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at her home. Born in Gaston County on July 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Bryant and Nellie Sue Barnett Simmons. Beverly was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She worked at Hanes Corporation in Human Resources. In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by her husband Paul Andrew Stroupe; 3 brothers, Don Simmons, Ernest Simmons and Bryant Simmons; and three sisters, Betty Clinton, Carolyn Simmons, and Sandra Adams.

Beverly is survived by a daughter, Linda Fuller and husband Rick of Gastonia; a granddaughter Heather Sheppard and husband John of Gastonia; two sisters, Cathy Thompson and Billie Beaver and husband Tom; two great grandchildren, MaKayla Whitener and Jenna Sheppard; and a special niece, Julie Adams as well as a host of other loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
