Obituary for Betty Eugenia Farris (Hardin)
Betty Hardin Farris, age 91 went home to be with the Lord, June 14, 2021. She was born in Rutherford County,February 21, 1930 to the late Joe and Evelyn Hardin.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, George Farris and son Jimmy Farris, Grandmother Carrie Blanton, Beloved in-laws Hugh and Cluney Farris and her special Aunt Pauline Jenkins.
She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Farris, Elaine Farris, Connie Deese, Audrey Rhinehart (David) and Robyn Farris (Johnny). Grandchildren are Tami Brown (Tim), Chris Farris, Page Brandon, Emily Queen (Bobby), and Nicole Deese. Great-Grandchildren Ryan and Kelsey Brown, Nicholas Farris, Conner and Danika Deese and Georgia and Lacey-Rae Queen.
She was known by everyone that loved her as "Nanny". She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. She was a hardworking provider for her family and would often give what she had to help others. She along with our Father put into practice Matthew 25: 35-36 that says "For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you cared for me."
She loved her family dearly and most of all she had an unwavering Love of God. No matter what hardship she faced, her faith never faltered. She is at peace now and can rest in the arms of the Lord. She will be greatly missed and our pain can not be measured. Look now to Psalms 34:18- "The Lord is close to the broken hearted; he rescues those who are crushed in the spirit."
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 19th at the Pointe Church in Belmont located at 6700 Wilkinson Blvd, Belmont, NC 28012.
Visitation will be at 3:00pm and the service will start at 4:00pm. Doug Irvin will officiate.
